Day 22, Monday, Eureka to Rio Dell, 45 miles

I spent the morning in Eureka, recharging at a coffee shop and getting a new tire at the bike shop. A few days ago, I had a flat and had to glue the tire to make it rideable. It was holding up, but I decided to get a new tire just to be safe. In pumping up the new tire, the mechanic (pic) blew up the tube (pic). Sounded like a gunshot!
