The bike route mostly took me around the outskirts of San Fran, hugging the water to the west. This is a residential area I rode thru. I have no more pics from today. The going was slow and busy near San Fran and even worse climbing the hills to the south - appropriately named Devils Slide. These were the 'hairiest' conditions of the trip so far- an evil concordance of cyclist haunting factors: No shoulder, thick fog, blind corners, heavy traffic, steep grade, road construction, rocks in the road, human eating roadside carnivorous plants... I could go on. I should have pitched the tent in the bushes, but I foolishly pursued, and luckily survived.
